Fault Code 17544 - 2001 Audi A4
Hello Audi Gurus!
My son has a 2001 Audi A4 1.8T Quattro. It's been good for him with one exception - Every once in a while, the check engine light goes on. While I'm not a car guy, I am a computer guy, so I picked up the VAGcom s/w and cable. Running the tests, it shows the following fault:
17544 Fuel Trim. Bank 1 (Add). System too lean
P1136-35-00--
In the past, my son has taken it to a shop, they do a "full tune-up", and the message goes away but eventually returns.
Can anyone offer some suggestions as to what may be causing this?
