Not sure what to make of this so I'm reaching out to this board for some help. Here goes, after about 20 miles of highway driving with speed of 65mph, I felt hot around the lower portion of the driver's side. I did not feel this same hotness while driving in the city at lower speed. The other side of the car did not get hot while I was driving at 65mph. None of the warning lights are on when I started to feel this heat. The heater is turned off so that cannot be the cause. I suspect that the firewall may be cracked and letting the heat from the exhaust leaking through. Can someone confirm what I am experiencing is also what you went through and know how to fix the problem?

If it bothers you get some foil type insulated material from a racing shop, pull the carpet and extra insulate the floor there.

I "used" to have this problem and I "think" it was solved when I removed my belly pan. I'm not sure and this may all be in my head but I'm asking you in an attempt to finding a solution.

Jacked up the car and found that the left catalytic converter cracked and leaked the exhaust heat causing the floor to get hot. Bought a pair of universal cat conv from Magnaflow online and will swap these out as soon as the new ones are delivered.
