Default few questions

Just fixed the seal on the oil cooler, and now i have a ticking noise from the engine, and the oil light is on.. i researched and found out it could be the oil pump! Now i also have an idle problem , when i hit the gas and let off the rpm goes below one and sounds like it wants to cut off? does anyone know what it might be? the sensor?
