Figured out how to fix blinking display in 01 symphony radio!!! Click for write up and pics.
WARNING!! Attempting this fix will require you to trade in your car.
1 Go to dealer to make an appointment to have radio replaced
2 Go inside showroom while service writer fills out necessary paperwork
3 When sales person asks if he can help you respond with "No my a4 is in here for
service - just looking" when he asks why it is in for service Tell him about the
radio and leaking sunroof.
4 When sales person asks you if you want a new 02 say yes.
5 Negotiate a deal and sign paperwork
6 Walk over to the service writer and tell him to forget about the radio cause you
don't own the car anymore.
7 Enjoy new 02 without blinking radio or leaking sunroof - yet. BLINKING RADIO FIXED!!
I really like this car as I really liked my last one when I first got it - I am sure this one will have its fair share of issues as well. Since there is hardly any traffic in the 02 forum I will have to continue browsing this one if I am still allowed. I still cant believe that I went in for a service appointment and ended up driving away in a new 02 - Didn't even have a chance to take out my UUC or K%N panel filter.

trading cars while making payments is so easy, because it obscures your view of how much more...
this is going to cost you.
You're thinking - well, I'm making payments anyway. However, the length of those payments will now be increased.

damn, did they want to put you in an '02 that bad?
Your payment must be crazy high for a 2 year lease though.
I should go ask my dealer what kind of deal they'd give me on my lease just for the hell of it.
