it took me SOOOOO long... I kept running into the most retarded little problems that added to the time it took.

The biggest problem was put the new shifter back into the housing in the car, and it felt way too tight in there. The bottom of the shifter was hitting the rubber at the bottom, but I thought it probably just comes really close once I set it up right. So I put most of the other bolts in, and realized the bottom peice was rotated the wrong way... it was like an inch too low... i had to take it all out again, flip the stupid thing around and put it back together... SO frustrating.

It is an awesome shifter though. No complaints with it whatsoever. Should be like this stock. It feels just right.

i did the same exact thing. added about an hour to my install time. doh.

i did the DIY short shifter in less than 45 minutes..removal, modification, re-install. all you have to do it remove and install!
