Default FINALLY!!!Gauge Pod pics! You won't believe what I went through today to do this...

Sorry it's late, but I went thru Hell & High water to do this. First, I bought a digital cam & had to set it up & go take the pics. Then I installed the software on my laptop. Then, I found out that the old Win 95 program running my computer wouldn't support the USB reqiurements of the camera, so I went out & purchased & installed Win Millenium on the computer. Then there was a problem with the driver for the cam, so I spent 1 1/2 hr on the phone with Olympus tech support sorting out the issues. Finally, I spent an hour uploading the pics. Jeez, what a pain, hope it's worth it!

Default LARRY!!!!!!!!

GOOD STUFF!!!!

That looks nice. Definitely worth the wait. Does it replace the upper steering column trim panel or does it sit on top of it? Any possibility of a dual gauge pod holder? In any case, put me down for one.

Thanks man. Again, good job.

explain, explain, explain..... Are you going to make them and sell them? Can you do it with a slightly smaller gauge, so you don't block the computer display?

VERRRRRRRRY NICE BTW!

Default Further Explanations........

I actually ordered several OE steering column housing pieces (upper half obviously) from Clair, since they are local for me, & I cleaned them out! The pod is built on the OE housing using "secret technology" (actually foam & putty around a stock plastic pod), & finished with satin paint. We are going to change this to textured or matte finish by this weekend to see if that gives a nicer appearance (we think it will). Since this is a prototype, We didn't really keep accurate records of time & materials, although, except for the $16 cost for a steering column housing piece the materials cost is low. There is no problem making more of these on a "one-at-atime" custom basis, but what we are really looking into now is how to make something like this in larger quantities at a reasonable cost. BTW, we are also working on a 2-gauge pod but this is lower priority at the moment.
