Default Finally got camera charger back. Few pics, fog lights, new dension installation, few pics from the

Kenwood country club member car show 2 or 3 weeks back. Didn't snap picture of SLR Mclaren right when we got there, went back for it towards end and it was gone. To make matters worse, my camera died after these six shots.

Here is a row of Vettes, and then a 430 toward the end.
<img src="http://i494.photobucket.com/albums/rr309/Kingtr_2008/IMG_0224.jpg">

A friends dads Mercedes. Had never seen a four door convertible like this one. It was spotless and massive. Owner knew zero about the car (even engine displacement), which didn't surprise me that much. Some other fun cars in the background, starting far left, spotless thunderbird w/ power disc brakes (ABS), steering, and sway bars, linginfelter twin turbo vette (yellow), newest rolls convertible and sedan, original UDF/Lindner Dairy truck (all 3 Carl Lindner's), E-type Jag, White/blue Ford GT, BMW Z8 Alpina, Yellow then black 430s, then an MG. Can anyone name the car in the Mercedes reflection?! (I can't, so not a test)

Engine bay of Black Ford GT. Fat tires, not as wide as F50 though! Clean enough to eat off of. Aston Martin Volante (?! not sure) next to it.
<img src="http://i494.photobucket.com/albums/rr309/Kingtr_2008/IMG_0227.jpg">

F50 was there in place of Enzo. The owner (of both as well as F40) said the battery was dead in the enzo. The same guy owns all the corvettes and thunderbirds from the first picture (well can't see all of them, but that area of display).
<img src="http://i494.photobucket.com/albums/rr309/Kingtr_2008/IMG_0228.jpg">

The plate is a little much, then again I'd still probably do it. He has the F40 plate too, dunno about Enzo.

Here are some shots of the fog lights mounted. They are a touch more forward than I wanted, but not by much (as the profile shot shows) or the peripheral lighting would be negatively affected.

55w Halogen Bulb. Do you think Silverstars would match the HIDs better (at all - I know not really comparable)?
<img src="http://i494.photobucket.com/albums/rr309/Kingtr_2008/IMG_0261.jpg">

<img src="http://i494.photobucket.com/albums/rr309/Kingtr_2008/IMG_0257.jpg">

<img src="http://i494.photobucket.com/albums/rr309/Kingtr_2008/IMG_0259.jpg">

As you can see they definitely fill out some lighting gaps down low and to the sides.
<img src="http://i494.photobucket.com/albums/rr309/Kingtr_2008/IMG_0265.jpg">

Also looks like I have a little re-aiming and tightening of nuts/bolts (left is a bit higher).
<img src="http://i494.photobucket.com/albums/rr309/Kingtr_2008/IMG_0264.jpg">

Finally installed dension from Chuck W. I decided not to permanently mount this one as people (myself included) prefer to be able to hold the cradle/ipod in their hands while adjusting it. I did want to be able to mount it, which is where it resides unless someone wants to change it. Only used the round part of the cradle (popped it open and removed the metal piece that screw goes into when in other part of mount) with heavy duty velcro on the back (soft side of velcro on Ipod). Then I just put the velcro where I wanted to mount it by the radio (same spot I had it before). I forgot how much better the dension sounds than fm modulator. Bass especially is more crisp and less boomy/distorted.
<img src="http://i494.photobucket.com/albums/rr309/Kingtr_2008/IMG_0248.jpg">

Dynolicious program is open (results page) showing my .06 better than stock 0-60 time and my horrid 60' time (2.93). Don't worry, I didn't do the runs with it sitting there, I taped it flat to my dash. Only complaint about dension w/ touch is that for some reason charging is not supported, both my other one (which charging still worked on, no signal though) and this one made same message pop up on touch screen.
<img src="http://i494.photobucket.com/albums/rr309/Kingtr_2008/IMG_0252.jpg">

The old dension mount I yanked out. It looks quite ghetto once pulled out, but when in place the aluminum is concealed by the radio.
<img src="http://i494.photobucket.com/albums/rr309/Kingtr_2008/IMG_0266.jpg">

When you pop the radio out there is a small bolt in the middle (top to bottom) on the right side. This bolt went through the middle hole (oddly placed drilled one) at the end of the metal stripping. It looks angled a bit because it is, I wanted the Ipod to face more or less towards my right arm when its extended.
<img src="http://i494.photobucket.com/albums/rr309/Kingtr_2008/IMG_0267.jpg">

How it looks/where points when in place.
<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/91268/img_0018.jpg">

All the wiring needed (yanked) for the hardwired FM modulator. Power, ground, switch, line input, antenna in/out, antenna adapters. Over $100 said and done.
<img src="http://i494.photobucket.com/albums/rr309/Kingtr_2008/IMG_0268.jpg">

And yes, I did somehow post this under Rogers comment about the B-pillar the first time around in case you saw it move.

Default Based on bits gathered from other pics, I think car in the rear window of GT engine cover is the

same one as in the reflection. Black with hood scoop, 57 T-Bird?

Default Both the '55 and '57 had it mounted in the trunk; '56 had external spare...

...but other details make me think you're right it's a '55.

Default Are you in Bethesda? I used to live almost next to the Kenwood CC.

Of course, I wasn't a member or anything. :P

Default Smacks head...

How did I miss that?

Sheesh, since the 55-56 are essentially the same minus the spare, I always think they all have spares minus the 55.

Default Close to Bethesda. I'm in Indian Hill (Cincinnati, Oh) about 5 min from KCC.

How long ago did you live around here (as I see you're in MD now)?
