finally got a chance to REALLY toss the car around, test the traction limits.......

found a giant empty parking lot in the middle of nowhere, wanted to see how the new suspension setup with the new 17's and Kumho's performed...
FUN
I got all four tires sliding, and much to my delight the car was very controllable....the car felt very neutral, occasionally it actually displayed the slightest hint of OVER steer. Very controlled and predictable.
The Kumho's felt great. Very grippy.....and when they lost traction they seemed to do so gradually rather than all at once, which was comforting....although I wasn't doing it long enough to get them hot, so I don't know how they would behave under extended use at their limits. I also don't have a heck of a lot of experience pushing tires to their limits, but boy are these tires fun (way better than the stock Dunlops, I can tell ya that much). Yeah yeah yeah all you S03 players save your crap about how much Kumhos suck blah blah blah =P.
Handling overall felt very controlled. The car remained quite flat even through the most aggressive turns. Sure there was some roll, but not enough to really upset the car's composure.
DISCLAIMER: I ain't a track guy....so maybe as far as track setups go my car ain't all that great....but it was fun nonetheless. I was very impressed by how composed and controllable the car was when pushed. Really makes me wanna start going to the track.
Relevant setup facts: Stock sport springs, Neuspeed Bilstein Sport Shocks on lowest perches, 17x8 Voxx MGR's with 225/45 Kumho 712's, Lltek 20mm rear sway bar on soft setting, Lltek strut tower brace (yes it's relevant =P).

you must learn a hell of a lot about cars by getting some track days in.....it's that whole last 30% of the driving experience that you can never experience on the streets
