Default It's just a two way component set. But if I want to go to a 3 way I can always

put the midrange in the OEM door location. =)

Default How does it sound with the tweeters way down there?

I've got a good system, that I am obviously not getting the most out of. Beacause of speaker placement, and Altenator Whine (a problem since day one!!!) but not thaaaaat bad now.

I have my tweeters antunuiated(SP) -6db, in the stock locations in the front.

I'm contemplating, cleaning up the system that I currently have as my next project. And was wondering if this was a worthy project.

LOOKS GOOD>>>

Default I haven't put my amp rack back in the car yet, so I'm not really sure.

I do know that everyone who has put the speakers in the kick panels in a B5 has been ecstatic about the way it sounds. I too had a component set in the OEM location with the tweeter attenuated 6dB, and hated the way it sounded. Try as I might, it just never sounded balanced and I didn't like the imaging.

I'll report back once I've done a little listening.

Default how are the highs at that location? what made you decide against stock location, at ear level?

does look like good work though.

Default The A4 is too small to use the stock location. The path length is too short, and it's too far aft.

They're not far enough in front of you for a good soundstage. You can clearly discern the locations of the two tweeters with the stock locations.

Believe it or not - a good set of kick panels will actually put the image right up on the dash. Remains to be seen if I've got a good set of kicks or not... :-)

looks great, just needs a grill over it now. That thing will get damaged otherwise.
