designed by disproportionate people like me, I've got my seat all the way back when I drive, although I'm only six feet.....probably means that I've got long legs and a short torso....and arms........By I feel for you, my wife feels the same way about the switches. But I love the car.....and you'll get used to the little quirks, and appreciate it more with the discovery of little attention to details.
2mth old 99.5 TQMS

The alarm is automatically activated anytime you've locked the doors, through either the remote or the key. So, there's no need to auto-arm. To do so, the car would have to self-lock, which risks locking you out of your car!
However, if you unlock the doors and disarm the alarm with either remote or key and fail to open a door within 60 seconds, the doors will relock and the alarm will re-arm. This is to help you if you've unlocked the car by accident or decided not to enter the car after all and forgot to re-arm. No danger of locking you out in this case since you obviously have the key to have unlocked the doors and did not open a door to be able to get that key stuck inside the vehicle.

Because the door opens to nearly 90 degrees, if the position of the window controls and the handle were swapped, it would be very difficult to reach door handle when the door is fully opened. I rarely use the window controls, so it doesn't bother me. I know - most people don't open the door all the way either.
Kyle
