Wasn't in the parking lot of the track.
It was on what they call the VDA (vehicle dynamics area), purpose built for things like auto x, police chase training, stunt driving, drift competitions .....etc. at beaver run motorsports COMPLEX. they have 3 tracks + the VDA.

oh, I see. still...so close to the real track. It's like going to VIR and running the Patriot.
I'm certainly not bashing the event that you went to. So, please don't take it that way. They're all learning experiences. I'm only saying that it's so mean to be right next to big track when you're on the little one. That's definitely a step up from doing a small auto-x in a parking lot that is rough on a car, imo, since the surface isn't smooth and it's chunked up.
