Fix-it Ticket for no front plate
Gotta love Palo Alto Parking Enforcement.
I got a fix-it ticket for no front plate. My options:
1. Fix-it, get it checked off by a cop, pay $10
2. Pay $60, forget it, but risk being cited again
3. Contest
The catch is that I don't even HAVE my front plates. I was not given them when I bought the car used. How much would it cost to get new plates from CA DMV?
This is as much an FYI as a rant.

if you didn't get it, then you dont have to pay the ticket.. (more)
But you do have to pay to get new plates, which I think is like 15 bucks or so. Also the DMV person can sign off your ticket when you get the plates.
