Default Flame suit on:Will just adding a chip or K04(apr, awe) do much or any harm to engine, clutch..etc

First, if I just added a chip, should I worry about any problems. I am not talking about dumping the clutch at 5k or aggressive driving, just normal. Do I need any more supporting mods or just a chip will be ok? What about a manual boost controller v.s. a chip?

Second, now if I added a bigger turbo, should I then worry about the engine?

I STFA and i just get too many different answers

Default for the chip you should be fine, and for the turbo you do need a better exhaust....

Maybe a better intake for the turbo too

it also depends on your driving, you going to be redlining when shifting, or just casual driving, or.. racing from street light to street light

Default normal driving and occasionally punching it, no racing or always redlining it,

just once in a while, but I would 90% would be normal driving

A manual boost controller is going to make your engine very sad. Get a chip.

Default so a chip=less problems and manual boost controller=asking for trouble?

but they are both adding boost, whats the difference?

Default then stick with just a chip.. dont go manual boost controller, they define trouble...sometimes

for the bigger turbo, im guessing the ko4, if your just going to be doing regular driving then whats the point in spending that kind of money..
