So my valve cover gasket is definitely leaking, but I was simply curious whether this would cause my oil pressure to fluctuate at idle, or if I just need to get better grounding for the sender. It's always done this, but I've had the oil pressure gauge in the car as long as the gasket has been shot.
Should be replacing this weekend, along with a whole slew of other maintenance items.

Once the temps are warm, the psi drops and everything smooths out.

I've got some serious blow-by going on, my BPV is pretty filthy. Something's got to be leaking.

New oil or not. Oil pressure gauge has been in since oh, 70k.
I'll start looking where the oil is coming from. Valve cover gasket is definitely this weekend, maybe I'll be able to tear apart the ventilation system tonight if there's enough light...
