Default This fluid has got me stumped

Yesterday having parked my 98 1.8SE manual A4, I noticed what seemed to be a 2 fluid leaks in the middle and to the right hand side of the front bumper???

The 2 areas are just below the small removable lower plastic grills. What has me stumped is after considerable time trying to trace the cause nothing could be found? On the inside of the bumper trim all is dry yet this fluid is on the outside(the areas are about 2ft apart?).

I wiped the fluid substance away (was yellowish in colour slight oily feel to it)and drove the car for approx 30mins. Checked the two areas and all was dry. Checked this morning and the two areas have this fluid again?? Popped the bonnet looked on the inside -all is dry yet this fluid is on the outside!?

If the radiator was leaking coolant onto these two areas it would be pink/red in colour yet this is yellow?? If it were PS fluid it would be brown in colour. The only fluid amber/yellow is the brake fluid but this runs nowhere near these two areas? What is this fluid- is it fluid or am I worrying about nothing??

The car has A/C - is it anything to do with this?

I really dont want to have to book in it at the dealer!!!!

Any ideas??

Thanks for that - is this anything to worry about?
