Default this fluid has got me stumped - update

Drove the car last night for an hour without running the A/C - checked the bumper this morning no yellow fluid to be found on the base of the front bumper.

Does the A/C use a yellow fluid? Is any of the A/C system located near where the fluid is appearing?

Taking the car for another spin tonight with the A/C running to see if fluid returns?!

Default yellow fluid? you sure a dog didn't tinkle on your car?

To the best of my konwledge, there are no fluids in the car that are yellow. Coolant is red/pink, PS fluid is green, oil is brown, gas is whatever color you think gas is, washer fluid is blue...

Wait, you sure you don't have any of that fancy yellow washer fluid? Maybe it's built up under the headlight washers?

Thanks for that.

I wish it was a dog taking a **** on the bumper. If you read my original post - I detailed the problem.

The only fluid resembling yellow is brake fluid but this is in use nowhere near the affected areas.

The fluid has a definite oily feel to it. Have driven the car twice since noticing it - both times wiped it away before driving - checked it after driving and nothing - checked the following morning only to find it returned. Both times had the A/C running. The only fluid to run near the two affected arears is coolant through the radiator but like you said this is red/pink in colour. Last night drove without the A/C running - this morning no fluid on bumper.

By the way i dont use the yellow washer fluid and their are no headlight washers on my A4.

Default There is supposedly some sort of oil in the refrigerant for the AC system..

I would HIGHLY suggest taking it to a shop that can throuughly check the AC system for leaks. Sounds like that may be the problmem.

Default no washer nozzels? I thought they all had them. sounds like ac

AC does have oil in although it's regular oil in my old car. Don't no what they use nowadays. Either way my mechanic has always told me to check for signs of oil around the ac system in the spring as that's a sure sign you've got a leak.

If you pull the lower plastic grill out to expose the front tow eyelet there are two thick rubber hoses just below - anything to with the A/C system? Have checked these however no signs of fluid at all
