Default FMIC rehash: whats the best bang/buck FMIC kit that includes piping that is bolt on?

I don't want to have to fab piping to fit.

And don't want to spend a lot of cash.

Default ask dungbeetle if he ended up using that Racetec core. I'm sure he'd be

willing to sell it to you for a good price

(i still have the mounting bar for it)
(he has some piping but the remaining you could get through ebay easiy)

If you want complete bolt on
the evolution racewerks fmic is fvcking amazing. Seriously the quality is absolutely astounding. The fitment of pipes, everything. I was seriously in love.
(avalon sells this ^^^)
The racetec is a really solid kit, and there core is very well done. There piping is a bit more of a b!tch but you can make it work.
(supreme power parts)
evolution motorsports has one too... fitment was a bish with an a4 bumper IIRC. Lots of hacking required. Not sure who sells it

APR is a piece, zflow =
spearco core + custom piping = cheapest option.

Duh! if you can find one is another stellar fmic. Paul858 showed me a ton of pics, and we b.s.'ed about it for awhile. Really a solid kit. Impossible to find iirc.

you could go with a tyrolsport or Apikol upgraded SMIC

best of luck

Default "I don't want to have to fab piping to fit. And don't want to spend a lot of cash" - No win. ;(

Those two don't really go together. LOL.

I guess it depends what you consider a lot of cash. I consider more $400 a lot of cash for an entire intercooler set-up as the fleabay coolers work really well - and look EXACTLY like many of the high $$ ones I have seen. And I mean EXACTLY. They are coming out of the same plant in China for sure. But they work well I suppose.

Default Yup, I have the RT one - it is not going to fit easily on my project so I'd pass it on.

Only to another appreciative long time member like this fine man here. ;-)

Right now I need moar sleep & bedz.

Default I am teh Devil? ---> Cool :) Anyway the RT will fit, but it's tight and be blocked by the winch

At least half of it would be blocked by the winch and it's so close to the frame that I'm afraid off-highway with any rocking of the body/frame it will chafe it ---> and nobody likes it when their tube chafes. ;-X

So I am going back to the water to air unit instead.

Thanks again though - if Andy doesn't want it I'll happily keep it for the little Franken - Audi/VW/BMW project (yes it has all those in it -LOL) that is nicely brewing on the back burner here. MMMwwHHaaahhaaaa!!
