Follow up to my Concert restore project, HU is not working now, long...

After I finished a restore on a '99 A4 Concert radio that had been trashed (see link below), everything checked out fine with the radio and I was able to test with a Phatbox player with no problems. After putting the HU back in my FM reception seemed not to be working. I ran a scan of the radio with VAG and for a brief second I was able to see the radio data pop-up in VAG. I then heard a click which sounded like a relay in the radio and then the communications from VAG to the radio went dead and I was unable to get the radio data to come up.
Now the HU is not working correctly. I get no FM reception at all, even if I am in range of a station. The volume control is stuck in on position - loud static. The Phatbox CD changer interface no longer works. Mode control does nothing.
Could it be a fuse? Loose antenna wire maybe? Maybe a loose wire jiggled on re-assembly? Maybe a mis-wire? I had two wires that were the same color going to the same connector that could be related to the VAG Serial I/F. Any ideas. TIA

https://forums.audiworld.com/audio/msgs/60937.phtml</a
