follow-up post: on the dealer replacing control arms...
Ok, so I went to the dealer and...
the car won't be ready til 5:30 today.
He seemed nice at the beginning, then he was getting pissy at me at the end, why? I'm the frickin' customer!
srvc. guy: "We don't honor this carmax warranty. So, you will need to cover the costs now and they will re-imburse you. I already sent in the claim and you have to call them and send the invoice."
me: "But they honored it for my parents' Mercedes here @ HBL? Why is this any different?"
srvc. guy: "I don't understand what you mean, but I'll go check on that." And walks away never to be seen likes he's mad? Why is he mad, I should be mad!
So, no more HBL @ tysons for me. poop on them. THX for listening to me vent. I'll be calling CarMax to get to the bottom of this again...<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/a4/msgs/1787130.phtml">my deal here...</a></li></ul>

really? where are you from? Tell me exactly the steps you took for them to honor your warranty.
Did you give them your Warranty #, etc. Thankz, I want to maek sure for next time I have to deal with anyone else's crap! TIA.

I called CarMax and they say....(interesting)
If the authorized repair shop is < 25 miles away from CarMax, then CarMax will only pay for repairs by check. In which case, the customer has to upfront the costs cuz the dealer will only accept CC payments from the warranty. Then, the customer is sent the re-imbursement check. Is that a stupid rule or what!
