Default forge optimus vs. forge 006 vs forge 007 vs. ::blank::

dont know which one to get, im gonna start preparing my car bit by bit for a k04. a friend of mine is pushing me toward a BOV, but thats stupid....yuck, no. (and its not good for a 1.8t)

i like that the optimus has an adjustable ****. the 006 uses a piston system which is supposed to be better than a diaphragm, but it gives off a chirp everytime you get off the throttle. ive heard some good things from the 007 but i dont know what to go with. anyone seen or used turbosmart Kompact valves? seem pretty good.

ive stfa but havent found any side-by-side comparos.

id love some input from owners of all these dv's. tia

Default Forge sponsored me. (semi) I like the Optimus for high boost situations....

my TT runs about 29 PSI. I find the optimus to work well on that. The 007 has always made strange noises in both my cars...when I transition from off to on boost it makes noise. The 006 I have had for many many years...trouble free. Just clean and lube it at every oil change and it will not go bad.

Default get either the 710, Pcar 110, or the Saab version of the 710N, and run them backwards

simple as pie.

Default So the boost doesn't force the piston open.

If the boost pressure enters on the side, this won't happen...

Default okay.. simple structural design

The problem with any valve is that the boost pressure overwhelms the spring thus you leak off your boost.

By running it backwards with a diaphram valve now all the pressure goes directly to the side of the piston instead of straight into it. There is physically no possible way it to overwhelm the piston etc sideways, and as soon as you shift the vacuum pressure opens the valve anyways and it re diverts air back.
