Front wheel wobble......as if the wheel is going to fall off....

I'll try to describe this the best I can. At moderate speed (35-60mph), whenever I hit a slight undulation/ripple/pothole....my right front wheel wobbles. Best I can describe it is that the wheel feels like its going to just fall off. Sometimes it'll stop on it's own after a few seconds, otherwise it'll keep wobbling/reverberating until I either accelerate briskly or stab the brakes. And then at parking lot speeds (5-10mph) going over small bumps or when entering a driveway, I get a nice clunk from the front right....something has some "play" in it.
Blown shock would be your first thought I bet, because that's what it does feel like (I've replaced a blown shock in the rear already). That was my guess too, but I already swapped that out.... just for the fun of it apparently.
So let's assume that all suspension nuts/bolts are properly torqued, as I've R&I'd that suspension a few times now already. And as far as I can tell, all control arm ball joints are (visibly) sound.
This isn't a lower c-arm issue is it...? I know the "clunk" is a tell-tale sign of a bad lower c-arm, but haven't ever heard anyone complain of wobbling. What else could have that much "play" in it? Thanks in advance...

to rock the top in botom out/top out bottom in. If it is a ball joint you'll have play doing this.

When my left rear went on me, the car would wobble around at speed, as if the lug nuts were loose on that wheel. There was an extra 1/4" of play in that wheel.

...since it seems to be closely related with rotation of the wheel, as when I stab the brakes I can make it stop. What's a wheel bearing run? $ How about the install? Thanks Mike..
