Default Funny groaning noise from front right!

Any advice/wisdom please!
I have a weird scenario, my car has a weird groaning noise. This occurs mainly on motorway speed (intermittent), but also occasionally 30-40k/hr. I had my mechanic look at it as i thought it was the wheel bearing. He checked and they are fine as are the CV. The suspension arms/links are ok (wear and tear) but nothing which would cause this problem.
Since then i have kept driving and noticed that it occurs when the engine is under load and also i have noticed that the right hand front break disk are not wearing properly(looks like only half of the disk is getting contact with the pad)! Wondering if this is a symptom of a seized or partially seized brake caliper? Pad are ok and disk are ok has about 2/5 of its life left!

Looks like you've identified the cause. You will need to have the caliper and guide pins pooked at. Could be that something isnt as tight or isnt as loose as it should be.

sometimes when changing pads, people forget to lubricate the guide pins. this can cause problems like this.

^^X2^^ I think you're slides/pins are fozen so the caliper can't slide back and forth. The good news, it's way cheaper and easier to fix than a bad caliper.

I like the sound of that. But i have a problem, i dont know what a slide pin looks like and where they would be on a caliper! Can you assist with a brief description?

Red circles. If those are frozen, the caliper can't slide back and forth. One pad brakes all the time no matter what, the other never brakes.
