Hello everybody:
My 97 A4 1.8T bone stock has some funny sounds recently above 100 km/h or 3000+ rpm no matter if the Air Con is on or off (I know it maybe the AC compressor but doesn't sound like it when the AC off). When I opened the window it doesn't sound like any turbo rod broken sound neither the car feels like a Mazda 323 3-speed automatic. The sounds sound like this:
thumpoooo....boooommmm....thummmpoooo.....booommmm m......and all of these came from the right side of the front. Left side is not as obvious as the right side where most passengers can heard that thumpooooo.boooooommmm....yadayada....
The sounds look like some heavy metal noise.
Anyone have these experience on these sounds?
