Well, my driver side inner door handle broke. I took the door apart and the door handle spring snapped in two. Can someone lookup the driver side inner door handle assembly for me, and tell me what part number the spring is (if any). The door handle assembly part number I got from the part itself appears to be 801-837-019. I'm wondering if I can just replace the spring, rather the entire assembly.

If you can find a replacement spring in a hardware store, use that, otherwise, order the entire handle assembly.

on the dealers cost breakdown sheet they billed audi $15 for the door handle part. Also replaced the door latch mechanism while in the door. total bill over $400 for a small $50 deductible, gotta love audi assured.

Yeah, the whole assembly is about $50

it was everything.. plastic trim, door handle, spring... the only thing you had to do was remove the door lock switch from one assembly to the other.

Seems like my local dealer is a rip off! Now, if only I could figure out how to install it...
