Fvck yeah! Engine and transmission mounts DONE!
Wow, took waaay to long, but I gots them done. I did snap one the the M8 bolts that holds the transmission mounts on so I'll have to seek that out tomorrow at the local hardware store or Fasternal.
No real tips aside from what's in the tech articles other than be sure to support the subframe when you remove the engine mount support. Otherwise you'll never get that bolt back in.
From what I could tell the engine mounts weren't too bad (visibly anyway), but the transmission mounts were totally shot. The passenger mount was actually slightly deformed and the inner rubber cracked, the driver's side was just cracked.
I did start the car however and couldn't belive the lack of vibration even with the 2.8L mounts I used. Won't know about shift slop until I get that bolt replaced though.
Pictures of the old parts to follow soon.

There's a bastard of heat shield that blocks the passenger mount bolt. That was NOT fun
trying to maneuver the bolt out of. Driver's side was gravy, in the wide open.

What symptoms were you getting from worn tranny and motor mounts? I feel a slight "jerk" in my 1.8tq when I let off the gas at higher speeds...
