Default Is FWD or Quattro faster for 1.8T Engine (more..)

Going to purchase a A4.
About to make a final decision on Quattro or none Quattro.

I figure a 1.8T engine will not be enough power for a heavy car (with the Quattro).
I think if i was getting the V6. I would than get the Quattro but my budget is with the 1.8T.

Oh, i will get the 5 speed manual.
Also i will not put any MOD in it (warranty reason i quess).

yes, i have already search for this topic in this furums.

Any more thoughts .......
Thanks in advance.

Default FWD will be faster, but I guarantee you'll regret not getting quattro.

Its what makes an Audi an Audi. You can always mod out your 1.8t if you want more power.

The gearing is shorter for the quattro, so any difference in acceleration will be pretty insignificant. Besides if you are on this forum enough you will be bitten by the mod bug and end up getting a chip for that 1.8T!

Default Get a GTI if you don't get quattro.

Those things are fast.

Default The 1.8T has adequate power stock...

(CamaroSS guy, shaddup).
If you're willing to take the warranty risk, you can always chip it. And quattro rules. Drive one in the rain and you'll never want to drive a 2WD again. Get it.

Default Re: Get a GTI if you don't get quattro.

Thanks but no GTI for me. I like the way the Audi A4 Looks & i needed a 4 door. For 4 Door cars i think the the A4 is the best looking car in my opion.
