Default FYI: I "fixed" info display after it disappeared

So, I've got a 99.5 A4 with the optional info display (mileage, avg mileage, temp, etc) and it suddenly went out while driving one day. I turned the car off and back on, but that didn't do anything. The top portion with the error icons and the radio worked fine.

I looked closely -- maybe the backlight had gone out -- but I couldn't see the text. I started getting worried, with large bills dancing in my head, but I decided to check fuses first. Nothing in the manual that said info display.

Eventually, I turned the car off and started pulling out fuses that sounded like they were related to the instrument cluster and the onboard computer. I turned the car back on, trip odometer was reset and my info display came back.

Just wanted to share in case this happens to someone in the future.

Default Hmm.

You sure you didn't just accidentaly turn it off?
There's a few small button on the windshield wiper stalk. It turns the display on/off.

Default Hrmm.... I don't think so.

Though I didn't try to turn it back on. I've turned it off before by holding the switch down but didn't even think to try that.

Default IIRC, you won't see the radio info either if it's just turned off.

I could be wrong though...
