While leaving work the other night, all the lights on the display turned on. Yes sir, the instrument cluster has gone. The dealer is due to install a new one today and they tell me there are two different versions - with a $300 price difference. I am expecting to pay between $600-$900 for the job. This is the first repair of any consquence the car has required, so I guess I shouldn't complain. Out of curiosity, have many others had this trouble?

UPDATE: The dealer just called. As they were removing the old cluster, it started working again. They suspect the connections were corroded. It has been cleaned and returned and seems to be just fine. As long as it continues to work, I have just saved $900. Whoo-hoo!
