Gapping spark plugs

I'm picking up some copper spark plugs based on some responses I got from a few helpful people on this site. But can anyone tell me how much to gap them? I have the car chipped so I know the stock gap of .40 wouldn't be good, right?

.032 * 2.54 = .08128cm or .8128mm

could poor idle be caused by unevenly gapped spark plugs?

Yes, but unlikely unless you gapped em to like, .08 or something like that.

It usually misfires at WOT, not idle IIRC.
