Gas octanes i seen lots of posts about this are US octanes different from european ones?

Default Gas octanes i seen lots of posts about this are US octanes different from european ones?

Fair enuff my A4 is a diesel but my dads is 1.8T and he runs it on Super unleaded

cos here we only have Unleaded and super unleaded

unleaded is 92ron and suoper is 97

EU is RON, US is R+?/M or something so, 97Ron = 91 US?

in the US... the different unleaded gasolines as followed are used here.
100 Octane race fuel
94 Octane Ultra
93 Octane Super
91 Octane Medium Grade
89 Octane Regular

Some gasoline stations may differ from the octane content of their fuel, but that is the most common.

M = MON (Motor Octane Number)
