I installed a cold air intake on my '98 2.8 30V A4, and a week later code 1n1 came on, check engine light came on and the car started smelling like gas inside the engine compartment. Took it to the trusty mechanic, he said the code for CHK ENG light was "some problem with the throttle body, so he cleaned it, inspected the car for broken fuel lines or leaking injector, reset the CHK ENG light. I drove it today and the light hasn't come back on, but it still smells like gas. Has anyone ever encountered the same problem

you may have broken one of the valves or disconnected a line while replacing the intake.

I had the same problem 2 weeks ago, when it dipped down to -30.
