If you own these cars, you can participate:
Audi - Front A4 2wd (012 trans) 99½-01 MYVW - Passat B5
Porsche - Boxster 2.5L to 98; 1999-01 MY
Note their site:
For gearboxes through 10 01 9 (Jan 10 '99 build), diff is direct fit.
For 11 01 9 (Jan 11 '99) and later boxes, diff will fit when used with the following parts:
012.409.131H cover
002.517.185A bearing (same as other side)
PRICING
Normal Price: $1095.00
GB discount: $875.00
Here's the catch. I need 25 people!!!!! I'm gonna hit the VW sites and Porsche Boxter sites as well. Please email if you're interested.
Whether we can get this GB off the ground is a tough question cuz 25 people is a LOT considering the high cost and installation costs. For those getting estimates, an install by a pro should be about 6-8 hours. I'd recommend having it done with your clutch to save some money.
If there is lack of interest, then this GB will be a no go, but at least I tried.

I would like to know what performance benefits it would bring...especially since I'm courting the idea of going Stage III. =)

All the stuff you need to know about Differentials you can read here:

I think it's great whether you have just a chip or all the way up to stage III. I drove a Jetta VR6 the other day with a quaife, and wow. It rocked. Much better than without. When going into a turn, the steering wheel actually wanted to turn the car even more into it. It was amazing. And launching. You'll be doing some great launching. More powers to the wheels!

I can only get a group buy for ONE particular part number. It just turns out that part# fits B5's, A4 2wd, and Porsche Boxter.
I've emailed autotech asking them if they can include Quattro folks in this group buy. If their answer is yes, I'll post immediately.
