it has not been tried. i asked achtuning. i guess you could try.

go aftermarket. u can get a better performing one for less then $200 with SS lines.

Default Oil filter in different location...so

at a bare minimum, the hoses needed would be different. Agree with wnut here...it's been done for less via other sources (search for markbradford and oil cooler), and still very effective. Only thing to be wary of...you'll need a little more oil in your system if you add the oil cooler.

what are the benefits/gains of this? are there any aftermarket for 2.8s?

How hot do stock 2.8's get on the track?
