Default getting check engine light, just changed plugs.. more..

have them in tight, around 25lbs or what they should be. The car just idles roughly when i start it then its fine after alittle drive. It did it twice without the check engine and thewn the 3rd time the light went on. maybe some bad gas? Im getting it vag'd tonight but just wondering if it was something common. Thanks for any help

Default just took out all of the coil packs and put them back in and it runs fine.. more

So i took them all out carefully... cleaned all the dust out around them put them back in and the car runs fine, check engine is still on but i'll get it reset tonight. One question though, well two, what happened? and what is the white stuff on the inside of the coil packs, looks like a contact gel or something? Could that be the problem? the plugs didnt or dont get good enough contact? any help would be great thnaks guys
