blitzsafe adaptor (if you don't want to retain the stock cd player) or there's a kit in the classifieds that's build by a fellow AWer that will allow you to tap it into your CD player but still retain the functionality of the CD player.
There are plenty of options out there, it's up to you to decide what's best for you.

..$25 of parts. I have done it with my 96 otherwise if you don't have a CD changer Jeff Bipes on the Audio forum used to make an adapter. Final option is to buy one that connects via the antenna.

..in the trunk. Basically you fake-out the head unit to think that its using the audio from the CD changer but use the ipod signals instead.It has a switch that allows me to change from CD to ipod and a cable that runs from the trunk to the center console. You have to be able to solder .Its about a hours work to make the adapter and probably another half an hour to install in the car. E-mail me if you want instructions.
