Default GIAC Chip and GIAC Tip Chip question for a 01 1.8T...

My friend has a 01 1.8T Q thats an automatic with tiptronic. For the GIAC chips, would the tip chip also add the hp and torque like the regular GIAC chip? Would the transmition be ok with the regular GIAC chip, since its an auto? Would the regular GIAC chip also reduce the shift delays? And overall, which would be better? Thanks!

Default The very first Xchip on the 2001 was tuned on a Tip.

There are 2 chips your talking about, 1 being the Engine Control Unit (ecu) and the other being the chip that controls the tip tranny. The first one is what makes the power and the other just controls how the tranny acts.
