Just for the hell of it, I downloaded the giac flashloader software from giacusa.com and tried to use it on my STOCK '01 1.8TQM but alas, it wasn't supported of course. My question is, since I apparently have a flashable ecu ('01, 'M'), you'd think we could get out greedy hands on the software to flash these ourselves. Anyone been able to do this without paying $500? Also, btw, I have found a car radio code cracker if you've lost your radio code. It may or may not work on Audi's. Tell me if your interested.

unless you know a factory master code for the product series.

same goes for the flashloader software. you would need to get with someone who purchased a genuine product and then get with some computer programmers that make sense out of all them bits and bytes to read out the encryption and the final software.
the flashloaders are just like hypertechs power programmers that work over the obd2 port. good luck

those flashloaders dont have any programs in them. The program must be inserted into the ECU and the Loader just lets you switch between programs in the ECU. You have to request a program from GIAC with your VIN number and he will manually send you back IF you are a verified dealer.

I wouldnt waste your time. On a lighter note I have the only flashed stg 3 B5 5 program PES program owns you. :-D
