Girlfriend's transmission dropped again in her Kia, warranty may not cover, thoughts?
She's got 62k on her car, the warranty is 5 years/60,000 miles for powertrain. Her transmission "broke" at 47,400 and was replaced under warranty. Now she's at 61,500 and the transmission "broke," just as it did 14k ago, but they're saying they don't think they're going to warranty anything.
Is it unreasonable of me to get a little upset if I had the same (major!) service performed less than 6 months ago? Thoughts/advice? Thanks..

stick. I would *think* there's a warranty on the work, but from my convo with the service mgr
he said there's no warranty on the parts or work outside of warranty coverage. If the part was replaced at 58k and breaks at 62k, you're SOL, is what I caught from him. So a bill for replacing a transmission on that POS is not what her or I need right now.

Most places have warranty on parts and labor
regardless of the mfg warranty on the whole car. Say I bring my POS civic with 300K miles to a shop and have them put a new transmission in. That job should be under warranty for a certain period after that.... how long I don't know exactly, I'm sure it varies from shop to shop and state to state....
