A truck threw a rock on my windshield today at lunch and it left some shallow scratches on the glass. Is there a way to buff those out?
Bobby Kinstle

Actually, I have an older Rolex GMT with the glass (not sapphaire hardened cover lense). When I get scraches in it, I will use 1000 grit sand paper lightly to buff out the scratch to a dull haze. Then take an orbital buffer, put on some pure carobna(sp?) wax, and give it a good buff of 30 seconds. The glass comes out perfect 10. Found this trick out years ago when I had a scratch on a watch I picked up from Russia a few years back.
Dunno how this will or will not work on your window, but if you just tried the wax and buffer, can't hurt too bad.
Plus I have to try this myself, I washed my front window last week on my road trip trying to get off the bugs, and have two light scratches now in my winshield from the car cleaner thing 'people' always use at the gas stations. I am po'ed.
April 2000 Silver S4 Tip, Cold, Bose, P'zeros![Smile](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
