Default Glass tint in Illinois. Advice needed (more)

So I called to local Ziebart shop and ask them if they could tint the windows on my A4. Of course they could, but the question is that tint on front windows is illegal in Illinois (as per ziebart). Now it is confusing me. I don't want to tint just the back windows and back windshield. So the question is did somebody in Illinois tint all windows and what kind of problems you having now (if any). What % is recommended for front and for back windows. If you have pictures I would highly appreciate your help.

Thanks,
Igor

Default I just got tint ticket yesterday...

...in Massachusetts. Got a lecture too. Trooper said they have zero tolerance because if they stop a car, the driver might have a gun pointed through the window and the cop can't see it. Fine is $250.

ouch... cant you just roll your window down before they walk up? then they see you, not the tint.

Cop saw my car, saw me go to it, and stopped me. In other stops, windows aren't rolled down I guess.

My A4 has the front, rear windows, and back windshield tinted with 50% tint. My dad also has his BMW tinted with 50%, but his seems much darker than mine. We both haven't had problems in the Chicago area. You can make out shadows, but if there is no light, it's hard to make out faces.

Default But you didn't say if it was a legal tint or not ...

if it was darker than legal, you took a chance when you applied it and got caught.

If the tint was legal, you should pull the statute and fight the ticket.

Forgot to mention illegal tint. Previous owner applied it. Didn't bother remove it.
