So I called to local Ziebart shop and ask them if they could tint the windows on my A4. Of course they could, but the question is that tint on front windows is illegal in Illinois (as per ziebart). Now it is confusing me. I don't want to tint just the back windows and back windshield. So the question is did somebody in Illinois tint all windows and what kind of problems you having now (if any). What % is recommended for front and for back windows. If you have pictures I would highly appreciate your help.
Thanks,
Igor

...in Massachusetts. Got a lecture too. Trooper said they have zero tolerance because if they stop a car, the driver might have a gun pointed through the window and the cop can't see it. Fine is $250.

My A4 has the front, rear windows, and back windshield tinted with 50% tint. My dad also has his BMW tinted with 50%, but his seems much darker than mine. We both haven't had problems in the Chicago area. You can make out shadows, but if there is no light, it's hard to make out faces.

if it was darker than legal, you took a chance when you applied it and got caught.
If the tint was legal, you should pull the statute and fight the ticket.
