Default There just isnt much of a power gain going from k03sport to a k04.

a chipped (GIAC, APR, Dahlback, etc.) k03sport is going to put out almost as much as a k04 set up would, maybe a whopping gain of 10-15hp, unless you were running a j31 or pc-16 file.

Default Yes.

If you get a nDBW and you might look into a k04, you should realy look into the pc-16 file set up. its a fine tunned chip from giac that is specifically for the k04 set up, you will need to run bigger injectors, adj FPR, exhaust, and highly recomend a tyrol sport SMIC or a FMIC. Iam hoping to run the set up by the spring time. if you are looking to get a 2000, they haave a file called the j31, basically same as a pc-16 set up, but tuned for DBW 00's. They do not have a tuned file like that for the 01's yet. These files are better tuned than the regular k04 set up you would find like the awe k04 set up.

If you are looking to upgrade to a k04, i recomend a 99.5, it has the features of the 00-01.5, but it is still a nDBW. If you are looking into APR S3 set up, go ahead and go with a 01 or somethin. if you are looking to just do chip, dv, exhaust and maybe some other bolt ons other than turbo, go ahead and get a 01.5.

Default Its REVO software that can be used to modify parameters in the engine management

If you don't know what you're doing I wouldn't mess with it too much. Best bet is if you're going to use it take the car to a dyno and mess with it there.

APR has a similar program called V-Tune.

Default It's a toss up...

01 has a little more power and a better clutch from the factory. But DBW is nothing to write home about. In fact, it sucks, plain and simple. Coming from a DBW car, it probably won't bother you...until you drive a cable actuated throttle and realize what the computer has been doing. Then you'll curse Audi for their DBW programming.

Does it fully utilize knock sensor data to help prevent pinging?

Default for tip transmissions...

they can't handle the added torque of aggressive turbo upgrades and programming
