Going on a long trip, should I invest in a bra? Good online store? $ ?

I drove my subaru from chicago to alaska and back, which covers a fair amount dirt highways and rough roads... I used it then and it saved me a number of dings (although only there, the rest of the car took some hits)
but if you are just driving on big highways in developed areas, I wouldn't sweat it...

I regret the waste of money.
I am very **** about my paint and I've owned a bra with most of my previous cars. I purchased the factory A4 bra and am very displeased with how it fits! The main problem I have with it is that the lower section around the air dam flutters uncontrollably. It goes so far as to shake the car at highway speeds.
If you are that concerned about it, look into the clear bra options. I now know there are others that share the same opinion as myself. I wish I'd consulted audiworld when I blew the $130.

The biggest disadvantage to a clear bra is that it isn't removable. Well, it's removable but you'll have to buy a new one and get it installed again.
A traditional bra, OTOH, is removable. For certain road trips (very loooong ones), it'll protect your car from the bugs and goop that you'll collect even if you had a clear bra. Bare in mind, any hard materials collected underneath a trad. bra could scratch your paint. But that's why you have a clear bra underneath. The traditional bra does what the clear bra can't and vice versa. The clear bra is just better b/c it's nearly invisible.

I had a complete kit for my new A4 put on.
It's expensive, ~500 for full kit (see web site for details).
Looks great, can't even tell it's really on, it also covers the door edges and under the door handles.
However, it doesn't cover ALL the lower bumper, and I think you might want a bra on top for extreme situations (driving schools, etc.)
www.stongard.com - I used Matt's tinting in Vancouver WA to install, he did a flawless job.

I use mine only for long highway trips and with all the Love Bugs in Florida, I need it to protect the car from impacts with exoskelitons at 90+ mph.
Check the classified section, I think there was one there for sale, I bought mine used for $35.<p>Christian J. Long
