Default Going rate for rebuilt tranny....

Today was a great day, just found out my tip tranny is shot. Until audi builds a reliable car, they will always be at the bottom of the U.S. market share. Don't they get it!

The car is a money pit. so far the past month I have had a bad abs control unit$$$,airbag light(need new bag),front seal and oil pan leaks and now a new tranny. the car is bone stock and never abused. This is unacceptable!

it could be from abusing the Tip-shift. How often do you shift with TIP?

the car has a 102,000 miles , no chip, and fluid has not been changed. My argument is why does audi say tranny fluid is "lifetime"?

Default A few thoughts....

Look we all know it's bull**** that audi says that the fluid is life time...However the filter can become clogged over time. I just changed my fluid at 65k. In your defense though, there is no reason that a tranny should go at 100k even if the fluid is the factory fill. I had an explorer that went 180k without ever changing the fluid.
