Going with s4 front and rear, should I do some different skirts, or just use s4 skirts?

Default So I understand correctly, the basic skirts and hardware are around $500 plus

roughly another $500 for the s4 trim mouldings that go on the door? I thought I read that somewhere?

Default yeah pretty much

get the skirts and door trim. then call up clairparts for the mounting hardware. tell them you just want the basic stuff to keep everything on. there's no need for every single bolt to be there. i had the shop mount mine, then put a strip of body glue on the inside of the skirt to keep it on. its not going anywhere

Default I got my sides for roughly 91 bucks a side from the dealer

using steve@motopersona's method you're looking at another 80 bucks + shipping for the hardware from vwparts.com and then about 250-300 for paint. But I'm just trimming down my stock a4 door mouldings and keeping them black.

Default I will order everything tomorrow, do you think Steves....

method and mounting hardware are what I should order. I should get the OEM s4 trim and not trimguard right? Is trimguard painted, anyone have pics, never seen it in person or in many pics. Thanks

Default yeah.. unfortunately my wallet couldn't take the hit for the s4 moulding

and I don't like the trimguard. If it really bothers me I may either have them painted or get the s4 moulding eventually. By the way, do you have your old passenger side front door moulding? I need one.
