I am looking for a shop close to where I work (Torrance, CA) that does good work on Audi's. I have a '96 A4QM that I want to keep for a long time and need to find a reliable shop to do jobs that I don't have the tools and other equipment necessary.

I was very happy with Mckenna Audi's Service Center. I am still under the Audi warranty (but I believe you should receive the same service), they will deliver you a Enterprise Rental car (free of charge) and pick up your car - work on it - and deliver you car again where ever you are.
This helped me a lot. They are extremely busy so I think they must be good , (this is much more I can say about the salesguy there who lied to me just make a good deal).

Thanks for the input. I have been hearing mixed results from McKenna. But I will give them a call to try to get a feel for how they do business.
