i have looked at all the pricing guides, edmunds, kbb, etc. and i am still a little confused if this is a good deal. here is the car: 1998 A4 1.8T (non-quattro), 5 spd, 34k miles, sunroof, 6 cd changer, keyless, laser red, (black leather or leatherette seats...i'm not sure which). the car is in great condition, garaged and well maintained. i can get it for $17.9. what do you think, good deal or not. i would really appreciate any input. thank you.

twice the mileage as that one, wrecked a few times..but fixed well. same options, and the dealer offered me about 14K for it this spring. I would assume that they would have sold it for about 18-19...so the price doesent seem out of the ordinary, the mileage is GREAT - heck, its still under warranty isnt it?? if not, price has to come down a bit. Id offer 16.5 if its a dealer. Oh yea, its leatherette.

I have had both a q and a regular fwd. Both have been great cars. The q is a good thing to have when and if you ever need it. Living in florida, I never needed it (maybe once if that when a good soaking occurred). Living in the state(if you can call it that) of Alabama I would rather have the q once again) It is also good to have if you go to sell it or if you ever wreck it and have to take insurance (from experience and by word of mouth from others, in the past the q status can bring roughly 2k back into the auto's value)
One last thing for those who have owned more than one model of Audi, does it seem that the older vehicles (before everyone had to have one and they became popular) were better built). I honestly believe my 93 90 csq was built better than my 96 a4)Over the last five years I cannot believe the things that have had to be changed out on the a4.

i just bought a red 98.5 manual, but its got 65k and its quattro. i paid just over $18k for it. so take that for what its worth. you could probably find one for cheaper, but it would be hard.

98 santorin 1.8t, leatherette, 5spd, bose+chgr, sunroof, immaculate paint condition, 33K miles (now almost 35
as clean as a new car. Even smells new. Audi maintainance records and all docs in glove box,.. $16.2 in DFW area. Dealer even fudged the paperwork to show selling price as $12K to save on taxes. They even bought me new floor mats (old ones were missing for some reason) and got us good info on audi extended warranties.
