Okie dokie, read this. It's not some 911 gayness as most retards
(average Americans) think, it's a holiday in Pakistan, mmmkay? See,
the guy who founded their country, Quaid-i-Azam Mohammed Ali Jinnah,
died on 9/11 (many years ago of course), and they celebrate this day
in his name. Now, I know I'm the first bright kid to come up with
this, but don't worry, I'm really smart. All I had to do was search
for past events on 9/11 using Google and I came across this gold
nugget.

Of course some other country that doesn't like Pakistan could have
purposely done it on 9/11 just so someone would place the blame on
them. But who the hell in America knows it's such big holiday in
Pakistan? I'll tell you who: Me, and the few people I've told.<ul><li><a href="http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=en&threadm=jycm7.4238%24d86.324491%40new sread1.prod.itd.earthlink.net&prev=/groups%3Fselm%3Dtpsnqtc6kkduae%2540corp.supernews. com">I got it on this thread</a></li></ul>

Default Gee, that's much better. Some of us stupid "average" Americans are in a foul mood this morning.

I understood the reason for the post. My sarcasm meter is pegged today.

Cheers,

Default The people that were reported as celebrating were Palestinians, not Pakistanis

a little info.. Pakistan was created in 1947 --
used to be part of India, Indians didn't want
the Muslims around, so they got thrown out and
started Pakistan.. anyway, as a developing
democratic nation, the US helped a LOT. Right
now, Pakistan still uses F-16's supplied by the
US, and its ace pilots were trained by the US.
I'm not sure why many Americans seem to be mis
informed, (mostly the media) but Pakistan's
people love Americans, and most people are trying
to immigrate to the US, and most Pakistanis have
family in the US. However, the government has
become extremely corrupt. If Pakistan is harboring
any terrorists, it is not because the Pakistani
people want them there.
As far as the Palestinians rejoicing is concerned:
put yourself in their shoes, you have no idea
what they are being told, or if they have access
to information from around the world (I doubt it)
we all take the internet and other freedoms for
granted, but we have the unique ability of getting
a lot of information that many people in other
countries do not have access to... they are sometimes
forced to believe what they are told.

Default I thought he Indians that were of the Muslim faith wanted the partioning of India, because they felt

were not getting the representation they deserved. This partioning lead to the birth of Pakistan.

Default not exactly, there was no real agreement

as far as people are concerned, there were many
prosperous Indian Muslims who obviously did not
want to leave their homes and everything and
migrate to the newly created Pakistan. These
people were literally thrown out of their homes,
and many of them were killed. The poorer Muslims
were (for the most part) wholeheartedly supporting
the creation of their own nation. There had
always been tension between Hindus and Muslims,
and in many parts of India, it was almost as bad
as the current situation between the Palestinians
and Israelis. Although, in many other areas,
Hindus and Muslims lived together peacefully, and
everyone in those communities was doing well.
When Pakistan was created, many of the poorer
Hindus in India saw this as a great opportunity
to kill, rape, torture and harass Muslims who
were fleeing to Pakistan for their lives. It
wasn't a good time to be a Muslim in India, but
not all Hindus took part in the atrocities that
occurred. As far as I know, Gandhi foresaw what
would happen if the nation was separated, and he
wanted it to stay together, and try to mend the
nation and get people to live in peace together.
Unfortunately, the people who were supposed to
be representing Indian Muslims decided that is not
what they wanted, therefore, Pakistan was born.
Since then, there has been a bitter rivalry between
India and Pakistan. There are still Muslims
living peacefully in India, but there are not many.
Pakistan is almost completely Muslim. It has
even had a female prime minister, unfortunately, as
bright as she was (educated at Ivy League schools in the US)
she was corrupt with payoffs and kickbacks... but
the bottom line .. what really upped the stakes
between these two nations was when India tested
a nuclear weapon on the border...
a few days later Pakistan did the same thing.
The United States obviously doesn't want third
world countries that cannot be easily controlled
to have these weapons, so we tried to diplomatically
control Pakistan's militaristic capabilities, of
course, Pakistani gov't officials basically said
go to hell. The United States still has good
diplomatic relations with India and Pakistan, as
we should. I don't see either nation standing in
our way of getting justice, they would most likely
help us instead. I don't know why Afganistan is
harboring terroists... but a twist is that
the Pakistani gov't does try to help the Afghani
gov't when possible, after all, they are neighbors,
and they are both comprised of mostly Muslim citizens.
ps: the US aided greatly to set up the Pakistani
gov't, which is democratic and holds elections and
such.
