G11 is either blue or Green. G12 is pinkish/orange.

Neither is compatible with any other type of coolant. And G12 is especially bad, not even compatible with G11.

I found a post indicating that the G11 is a glycol based coolant.

Nobody specifically said you shouldn't mix G11 with regular prestone.

Tons of warnings saying you shouldn't mix G12 with prestone, G11 or anything else.

It is glycol based I believe, but phosphate and amine free.

I suppose you could mix it, but it's not recommended. It would defeat the purpose of using G11 in the first place.

Re: vw dealers are generally cheaper than audi....

vw dealership charges 19 and www.germanautoparts.com charges twice as less.

bought some g11 at dealer, got it flushed

my dad had mixed the g11 with prestone. wasnt sure if this is bad or not, but wanted to make sure and got it flushed.
