Default Good place for hardwired accessories?

Hey all...i'm beginning to plan out my accessories wiring. This includes two primary things.

1. Radar Detector.

2. Sirius Radio Receiver.

Where is a good easy place to source the power from? Preferably some place easy like the fuse panel? Which fuse to use?

What did you guys do?

Default There is power and ignition power under the dash on the driverside

basicly right above the clutch pedal location.

Default I used fuse box for radar detector. I dont recall which fuse. Look at the diagram on fuse box

cover and pick a fuse that is strong enough AND switched.

Default You will see above a bolt that says 75x. Hardwire your stuff off it with a fuse. It is switched.

If you are wiring any kind of amplifiier just go directly to the battery.

I used a 10 amp inline fuse off it to power my Sirius Radio, Radar Detector, and Phone Charger. Never had any problems!!! It is nice having my sirius shut off when I turn the key off now. =)

Default There is an emply slot in the fuse panel for a rear windsheild wiper if you have a sedan.

Get a fuse "piggy back" type adapter from your local autoparts store. I have found this to be the cleanest and safest install.
