Default It's almost $50...and there is another way.

Most cars already have dirt on them before it snows. Regardless of what you use, you're going to be moving around dirt on the surface of your car. Not good.

I use a cheap KMart snow brush, but I'm careful not to touch the paint. That means there is usually a layer of snow on my car about 3/4" thick. It's a pain going over the care so meticulously so that your don't go down to bare paint, but so is waxing your car...and most of us do that!

Default You make a good point....

...but for the same reason, I buy the more expensive Charmin with aloe instead of the cheap sandpaper... I mean... most people's asses are already dirty before they even take a crap...

...ummm, ok let's get off that topic

Default why do people brush the paint anyway?

clean the windshield front and back and the side windows with a scraper and leave the paint alone..
is it for making it look pretty or am i missing something?

Default to brush away the snow off the hood, roof, trunk

or other surfaces. Drifting snow onto one's windshield can be distracting and reduce visibility. Drifing snow from your vehicle can also reduce visibility of vehicles behind you.

I don't like brushing the paint either, but it's important for safety reasons.

Default Sno Brum....

...cheaper than Stratmosphere's brush and probably better able to handle larger snow falls. Didn't leave any scratches at all on my A4 last winter.

Sno Brum
